Starwberry crumble

Starwberry are so sweet! Realy, not only the taste but just how they look! When people say to me they don’t like strawberry: i’am like what? Realy?

So today i’am making a quick and easy starwberry crumble with a topping of greek yoghurt, mint and honey! So nice, easy, quick and it tastes amazing!

You will need:

  • 500g strawberry’s
  • 7 spoons of honey
  • 100 g butter
  • 150 g flour
  • 75 g sugar
  • Greek yoghurt
  • Couple leaves of mint

How it’s made:

Cut all the strawberry’s in 4, wash them and put them in a bowl together with the honey. Mix the two togheter with a spoon. Don’t get the starwberry’s crushed. After thats done, put the mixture in a large oven piece, or something you want to put it in.

For the dough:

put the flour and sugar in a bowl. Mix them togheter. Then add the butter and mix it with your hands (that will be easier). When you get a crumbly dough, spread it all over the starwberry mixture. Then put it in the oven. 40 minutes on 180 degrees or gas mark 4.

When the dough is golden-brown grab it out of the oven. Let it cool down. When it’s fully  cooled down, finish it off with some greek yoghurt, mint and honey.

Tenerife 2016

Tenerife is the biggest one of the canary islands.  Tenerife and so are the canary islands are part of spain altough they are 2100 km away from the costa’s of spain. I went there on holiday in april and the weather was amazing!

This is my trip to Tenerife

We arrived on the airport of Tenerife Sur Reina Sofia. We toutched down around 1 pm with Brussels Airlines. It was a 4 hour flight and i actualy won the tickets! The weather when we arrived was amazing. We directly went to pick up our car wich went so smooth.

The hotel we stayed at was at the costa adeje it was called Hotel Panoramica. A realy nice Hotel. That night we had diner at a realy nice restaurant at Adeje beach. The restaurant was called Azar.

Most of the days we sun baded. Swom in the swimming pool. The weather was just so nice! The second day we went to Las americas this is the touristic place in Tenerife. The place realy reminded me of Las vegas. It was realy nice but there are many people there so go on a weekday if you ever plan to go.

On day 4 we went to El duque beach wich has the nicest sunset ever! I you go to Tenerife you must go there!

The next day we went to El teide the hights mountain in the whole Of spain! It was superb! Realy the view from above, you could see all the canary islands. Amazing!

The day before we went home we got on a boat wich was called the Flipper Uno and went to see Dolphins we saw actualy quite a lot! We ate paella on the ship and went for a swim in the atlantic ocean. Realy refreshing! We also saw Los gigantes. Those are the 2nd biggest cliffs after the grand canyon. The rocks were 800 meters high wich is realy impressive if you are in front of them.

The last day we had breakfast and after we went straight to the airport and took our flight. We landed around 3 pm and had another 2 hour drive home. Normaly it’s 30 min but with the terrorist attacks at Brussels airport we had to leave from another airport.

This year in april we will go to Gran Canaria. I’am realy looking foward to it. Hope you enjoyed this litle post. Lots of love.

Raspberry Cupcakes

Raspberries are one of my favorite kinds of fruit. They are so sweet, and sour at the same time. When raspberries are ripe, the are amazing. So much flavor in it. And they almost melt on your tongue.

Cupcakes are originally from england, dated two centuries ago the cupcakes were consumed when tea was served. That’s why the cupcake are in the shape of a tea cup. To this day they are still popular, not only in England, but in the whole world.

When you combine this two you will get an amazing something to eat. So thats why today i’am making raspberry cupcakes. these are for 12 cupcakes.


You will need:

  • 175 grams of sugar
  • 75 grams of butter (unsalted)
  • 1 egg (room temprature)
  • 8 grams of vanilla sugar
  • 200 grams of flower
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 5 tablespoons of milk
  • 1 portion buttercreme
  • 150 grams raspberries
  • Some raspberries for decoration

How to make the cupcakes:

Mix the butter and sugar in a bowl until nice and fluffy. Add one egg and mix until your butter, sugar and egg are smoothly mixed. Add the raspberrypurée (the picture is how it supposed to look like)  to the mixture and mix everything until the mixture is well blended.

In a separate bowl, sieve the flour, baking powder and vanilla sugar and give it al little mix. Go back to your buttermixture, now add the milk and alternate with the flour mixture. Keep mixing until you get a fluffy batter.

Now the batter is ready. Devide it among 12 cupcakes holders, or your cupcake form. Bake the cupcakes 18 minutes on 180 degrees, or gas mark 4.

When baked, let the cupcakes cool down. Meanwhile make the buttercrème.

When the cupcakes are fully cooled down. Spray the buttercream on top of the cupcake and finish it off with a raspberry.

For the buttercream you will need:

  • 200 grams of butter (unsalted)
  • 200 grams of icing sugar
  • 16 tablespoons of milk
  • 45 grams of flour
  • 8 grams of vanilla sugar

How to make the buttercream:

Sieve the flour, and put it with the milk in a saucepan. Keep beating it. When it starts to cook, turn down the heat. The mixture will be thick enough after 5 minutes. When you put a toothpick in the mixture and if it continues to stand up, the mixture is thick enough. Now put it in a bowl and put it in the freezer until room temprature.

While the mixture is cooling down, beat the butter and icing sugar nice and fluffy. Then add the vanilla sugar. When the flour mixture is on room temprature add it to the butter mixture. Beat it for 5 minutes and put it back in the freezer. When you ready you can use it.

Hey there,

This is it, i started a blog. I will mainly be talking about food, vaction, and everyday life. I’am so excited! Hopefully this turns out realy well. I’ve been long thinking about this but i finaly did on a hot thursday afternoon. Its so much work tho, setting everthing up. I think it took me about 4 hours but. The website said 15 minutes, well turned out wrong didn’t it. But now everything on my blog is just perfect. The way i want it to be. I will soon be back with more recipes, vactions tips + photo’s, and places where i’ve been to! I’am so excited to tell you all. Hope to see you next time!
